Bridge the Gap: Connecting STEM & Community
Unite, innovate, adapt
Building a sustainable STEM environment for communities locally, nationally, and globally
Team 5449 Prototype
We are are a group of cross-national high school students who design, build, and program industrial sized robots for the annual FIRST Robotics Competition.
This year, we created a new team structure: a collaboration across borders. Our team is based in Beijing, China and Vancouver, Canada, working together to bring more STEM opportunities to our community.

Bridge the Gap
“Bridge the Gap” means increasing access to STEM education for communities facing challenges such as lack of funding, limited resources, language barriers, or harmful stereotypes that create a “Gap” in opportunities to thrive in STEM.
Our goal is to “Bridge” this gap by creating a sustainable STEM learning ecosystem that provides quality education resources for students around the world.
